Day 17 - Hilliard (day 6)

Today seemed strange. The trailer has been our base of operations or in tow for the past 10 days. It affected where we stayed, how we drove, how quickly we stopped and where we could turn around. Not today. We left it behind.

We traveled 170 miles of familiar roads and visited Mohican and Malabar Farms State Campgrounds. Rain showers moved across the area and met us at inopportune times with drizzle and downpours. One deluge hit as we were taking pictures of Mohican campsites.

These campground excursions give us an opportunity to see how much Ohio has to offer to those who want to take a look. Here are a few sights from the Butler, Lucas, Loudenville area.

Mohican Lodge ...
We had a late lunch at the lodge and waited for a shower to pass.

Malabar Farm ...
We passed the farm as we searched for the campground.
The Big House

The road to the campground gave us some great views of the terrain.

There's so much more to see!
