Foreward

For the past 6 years we've traveled extensively throughout the continental U.S. and even ventured into Canada for a short time during 8 long trips.  We've left and returned to Columbus without stopping anywhere in Ohio on these journeys.  This trip is intended to remedy what could be considered by some as a foolish slight of a state we live in and enjoy.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) operates 73 campgrounds in 5 regions throughout the state.  We plan to visit the 55 campgrounds that appear suitable for RV or trailer camping on this trip.  We'll critique all of the campgrounds and stay in many.  The critiques will be a trailer camper's perspective on what we saw and liked (or not) about each.

Is this a silly trek?  Maybe.  But, it does offer a way to experience the beauty of a state we've ignored for far too long.
